Following our one-day excursions in Crete and Santorini, organized in cooperation with a local travel agency, you will discover aspects of Cretan civilization and tradition, local people’s culture and the endless natural beauty of each region.

You will have the chance to get to know the Cretan musical tradition, rebetiko (urban music) and of course the work of great Greek composers, such as Mikis Theodorakis or Manos Chatzidakis, at the wonderful music nights we host at our guest house with well-known artists.

For your personal, individual or family excursions, we highly recommend small family businesses belonging to friends of Idili guest house, as well as destinations worth including on your holidays, such as the pottery workshops in Margarites, the Folklore Museum – Embroidery Workshop in Chania, taverns and traditional coffee shops with local authentic flavors, the Winery and the workshop used for the manufacture of handmade soaps in Panormo.

You should not miss, of course, visiting areas of special natural beauty, small and large lush canyons, caves of historical and geological value, as well as archaeological sites and museums in the region.
